Cleaning Tips for Duettes and Silhouettes
Hunter-Douglas Duettes and Silhouettes are some of the most beautiful window treatments made. Maintenance of the two products varies a little. Both should be lightly dusted or vacuumed. For a more thorough cleaning, Silhouettes must be professionally steam cleaned. Duettes can be professionally cleaned, or you can clean them yourself by submersing them in a bathtub using tepid water and a mild detergent soap like Woolite® or Ivory.

Swish the shade around gently, rinse, remove and hang it up and keep it raised until it is completely dry so the pleats do not straighten out.

Blow the Bugs Away
Another tip: When those pesky pests such as spiders decide your shades are the perfect place to take up housekeeping, get out the blow dryer, set it to COOL and blow them away!
